Description

WeatherDeck is a high-definition companion for weather and outdoor enthusiasts. It presents slip map based weather maps and a global collection of weather imagery, presented in brilliant high-definition. WeatherDeck is perfect for aviation, sailing, fishing, hiking, biking, and camping. It's also a great resource for commodity traders, disaster response, dispatchers, and other professionals who need an accurate and elegant weather device.

GLOBAL LIGHTNING MAP
WeatherDeck's Lightning Map is a first in the App Store, providing a live map of lightning strike locations around the globe. 5 minutes from the time of the strike, the data is on your iPad. When you're in the middle of a storm, take out WeatherDeck and tap "Locate Me" to see where the exactly where the lightning is striking around you. No more counting seconds between the flash and the thunder - you know the exact location and the time of the strike.

RADAR AND SATELLITE
WeatherDeck's HD NEXRAD Radar and HD Infrared Satellite Maps let you flick and zoom through weather conditions in the United States. Great for looking at your local area or seeing conditions around the country. With icons for hail, lightning, and cyclonic activity, you can see exactly what's happening inside the storm. In a future update, we'll be adding animation to let you see the movement of the weather and storm activity.

GLOBAL WEATHER MAPS
Four additional maps let you visualize weather data from around the globe: Temperature, Wind, Dew point spread, and Sky coverage. The icons are color-coded to let you immediately spot extreme conditions and see the variance around your state or country. Tap on any icon for details, like the exact wind speed and direction.

AVIATION MAPS
v1.0 includes Aviation Maps for pilots, our first set of activity-specific maps. Take a quick glance at Flight Rules and Ceiling reports from airports around the world. Later versions of WeatherDeck will include weather maps for sailors, boaters, fishermen, and other marine enthusiasts.

IMAGERY
Tap on the Imagery tab to see live weather images from around the world. Save any of the images as a Favorite for quick access. We're just getting started on this area, and will be adding new collections and more customization. Stay tuned for a future web app that lets you view your imagery collections online.

SETTINGS
WeatherDeck lets you view the weather as you want, with settings for Fahrenheit/Celsius, MPH/Knots, and more.
